“Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I’ve done it thousands of times.” -Mark Twain

Can you relate? If one of your New Year’s resolutions for 2012 is to quit smoking for good, here are a few
Android apps that might help:

1. QuitNow!
QuitNow! is a smoking cessation app that can help you track how long since you quit, how much money you’ve saved, and even the positive impact quitting has had on your health. QuitNow! has achievement badges as well, so you can try to make quitting sort of fun.

2. Quit Smoking
Quit Smoking is a widget app that helps you gradually cut down on how much you smoke until you quit. When you get the urge to smoke, you hit the red “smoke” button. The app then asks you what your urge and stress level are, asks if you can wait, and logs the event. It also tracks your daily smoking quota. It’s a different approach than QuitNow! and it might work better for those who can’t quit cold turkey.

3. Smoke Control
Smoke Control is another app for those who don’t want to quit cold turkey. It helps you control your smoking by letting you know when you can have your next one.
